Mandalas by Michele Markey of Medina Domestic Arts Studio.

Bring your denim shirt [jackets and others may also work if the design fits in between the seams] to class and turn it into wearable art! Mandalas are one of the easiest patterns to paint on the back of a denim shirt. Using DTF (direct to film) transfers – a type of iron-on transfer with ink, you will learn how to apply a DTF using a heat press. Learn several basic techniques on how to color on your denim shirt (applicable to most other fabrics as well).

Kit fee is $30 payable to Michele Markey at the workshop (cash, credit cards accepted). Each mandala kit comes with a 24 set of acrylic markers, fabric paint, fabric medium, brushes and paint palette. The mandala comes in three sizes: 8-9 inch, 10 inch and 12 inch – students can choose either size (no extra charge for larger size).
